Welcome to TCNA

TCNA is not just a mosque for prayers rather it is a community center for all. TCNA is committed to preserving an Islamic identity, building and supporting a viable Muslim community, promoting a comprehensive Islamic way of life based on the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad Peace and blessing be Upon Him.

The importance of the prayer in Islam cannot be understated. It is the first pillar of Islam that the Prophet, may the mercy and blessings of God be upon him, mentioned after mentioning the Testimony of Faith, by which one becomes a Muslim. It was made obligatory upon all the prophets and for all peoples. Allah SWT has declared its obligatory status under majestic circumstances. For example, when Allah SWT spoke directly to Moses, He said, “And I have chosen you, so listen to that which is inspired to you. Verily, I am Allah! There is none worthy of worship but I, so worship Me and offer prayer perfectly for My remembrance.” (Quran 20:13-14)

Our Maktab

Maktab is an after-school program that teaches community kids basic Islamic knowledge. The goal is for our children to gain nearness to Allah and further knowledge about our Deen. Weekday classes are on Monday and Wednesday from 6 pm to 8 pm. Weekend classes are on Saturday and Sunday from 4 pm to 6 pm. You can enroll your child and may choose to attend Monday and Wednesday or Saturday and Sunday. It is open to students of ages 5-18. Quran teachers use the Noorani Qa’idah and the Quraani Q’aidah, both of which are widely used worldwide. Islamic Studies teachers use the combination of the An-Nasihah Islamic curriculum, Weekend Learning Series for Islamic studies workbook, and Taqwa prints for activity. The above syllabus includes individual textbooks (based on level) for Qur’anic recitation, Hadeeth, Fiqh, Aqaaid, Akhlaaq, and Aadaab, which are both informative and child friendly. It includes graphics, color, and activities.
